I spent most of my life coarse fishing. I've been happy to move on to fly fishing, sea fishing from my kayak and most especially, fly fishing for bass from my kayak. Any particular type of bass? Rare Welsh sea bass I reckon.

One of the offspring units took a picture of me outside the school I walked out of in 1992 and never went back. Have been past in vehicles since but never stood outside. Odd time travel. Quite summery today. The house itself originally belonged to admiral Nelson's mistress. Its now a (quiet cough) rather expensive and desirable private school. 38 yars since I first went there yet I am still 11 yars old. Hmmm

Today we went into Nuneaton, I've never been to the town centre before. Found a fabulous Nepalese/ Gurkha grocery and bought some amazing provisions. Then back to the mooring, painted the offside sill on the Rover in stonechip (The nearside sill was done by Johnny the Welder last week following the welding). Then replaced the fuel tank on the Solex with one bought at a Brocante in France a few weeks ago by someone on the VeloSolex forum and posted to me on his return to the UK. This is where internet forums can be so awesomely useful. Charlie is off home tomorrow, he's flying to Greece early on Wednesday morning for a family wedding. We've done loads while he was here, we always do.

The house itself originally belonged to admiral Nelson's mistress. She didn't own it; in fact she merely resided there for a time while mistress to a Charles Greville; he later passed her off to William Hamilton when things became inconvenient, from whom she took the name she is most famously remembered as, as well as title (Lady Hamilton). She became Nelson's mistress some time later. It was all terribly scandalous.

The others were Russell and Wadham which were named after Russell Road and Wadham Close which were public highways. Greville seems to have been more important
