You could use Slam Transport 's address Mr Stabby ... save the cost of stamps by picking stuff up whilst at work. Rog The management at Slam Transport's Coventry depot is aware that the company has been selected, named online, and targeted for joint internet stalking/trolling activities by a couple of psychopaths called Vince Coventon, posting on this forum site as ' Mr Stabby', and Roger Day, posting on this forum site as ' dogless'. The company would like to know just what it is that this pair of mindless arsewipes have been hoping to achieve over the last few weeks by colluding in this laughably clumsy piece of online mischief making. For their information and records, the Police were copied into the evidential correspondence already sent to Slam Transport, and the company that Shit-for-Brains Coventon does actually work for, Hi-Speed Services of Swift Valley Ind Estate, Rugby, will also be advised.

It's not until you visit MK by boat and then walk around exploring that you see the old villages that were to some degree swallowed up to make Milton Keynes. We skipped the Cross Keys but visited the Barge Inn, Ye Olde Swan, and The Plough on our walk, strolling down Newport Road that's now largely just a footpath. Glorious sunshine, three pubs, bliss 😊 Rog

Huge queue for Harecastle by this morning, at least 14 boats - we decided to go through on the first wave rather than wait for the second as I’d originally thought. Jeff parents needed to get a train from Kidsgrove to Crewe to catch the 13:09 from Crewe so I though there’d be plenty of time but in fact the second wave was only just coming through when we walked them to the station so it would have been a bit stressful. Tunnel keeper (volunteer- is that a voluntunnel?) was not too bright, boat in front was very nervous and had a tiny 2 cyl engine and wanted to go through last, but computer said no and he had to through in the order of arrival (why?) and the voluntunnel’s safety briefing was pretty disjointed. Apart from all that, passage and waiting for the train by the junction was uneventful and it was fun to watch the mayhem of the 8 or so boats arriving for the lock in the second wave when we got back to the boat. Then Tesco and the the Macc. Lovely day, slightly irritated by the “slow boat to China” on the Macc who was doing about 2mph and showed no inclination to let us overtake, plus slowing down to 0.5mph eggwhisk idle past moored boats. I guess we have been spoiled by the deserted Caldon and not exposed to any selfish twats. Whilst drifting past a moored boat in neutral an old woman popped up and I said hello and commented on the slow boat ahead. “Are you in a rush?” she said rather disapprovingly. She clearly thinks that being in a rush on the canals is only slightly better than being a paedophile. I think next time I will say “yes, my mother is dying and I’d like to say goodbye to her” which might wipe the self-righteous face off the old bag. Well at 101, she definitely is dying. I just don’t know when! As to the iconic photo on the Caldon, in fact Jeff took the alternative one with train in foreground and boat in background (nearly missed the train).

Must admit we travelled behind a happy holiday Wyvern boat this morning who was in tick-over because of all the moored boats ... only his tick-over was SO slow.
Had to keep dropping out of gear.
Still we got there eventually and the sun was shining.

Lovely day today, been to work both days this week on the Vespa so that's a total of ten times in July. Have tomorrow of as I have an AAA scan in the afternoon. I thought about just having an early finish but I have a few things to do which were postponed from the weekend due to this DCPC course so I told Slam Transport I'd take the day off as annual leave.
Bought a pre-loved rear luggage rack for the Scoopy which arrived today so going to rub it down and treat it with Kurust this evening and put a couple of coats of satin black paint on it tomorrow.

It has been quite warm and the weather looks like the rain has gone to bed and the other day I was going out to see the other day I had to do a bit more to do it on my own but it was the first place in my house for a bit to do the first thing in a bag and I was like that was the only one that would have to do with a few yars

Been to launderette, postponed from Saturday due to the rather irritating DCPC course. Back to the mooring and I've used up the last of an old rattle-can of satin black paint to give 4-5 coats to the Scoopy's rear luggage rack. Then have this Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm screening this afternoon which is a bit of a PITA although a day off work midweek is always welcome.

I have been asked by the Court for my dates to avoid between September and November 2024.
So it looks like the Will bullshit might get resolved at some stage.
I have a trip on the river Wey at some stage which might cause two dates to avoid but other than that I am a free agent.
If I can get the £359k allocated to my bank account I will be even more of a free agent.
And yes a TB pissup where I pay for all the drinks is on the cards if I do get weighed in. If I don't then it isn't.

The nurse says I don't have an aneurysm which is good. The tap on my mooring has started to leak which isn't good. Will try to sort it out later if I can work out how to shut the water supply off temporarily.
