Not a fan of on-line shopping ... in fact personally, I've never bought anything on line. The two foam filters for the genny are ready for changing ... the foam's breaking up a little. Had to order them on-line and I've done it myself Only a fiver for both (two bits of foam so not exactly cheap). A bit sad that nowadays you basically have to buy on-line because the suppliers have closed down. Not an on-line shopping virgin anymore. Rog Donβt forget to oil them - old trick with the dirt bikes was to oil a pair, fit one and keep the second one in a zip lock sandwich bag ready to use straight away - important during a dusty two day championship meeting; probably a little less so for a boat standby generator πππ»

We have an Amazon locker in the petrol station next door to the house, always ordering stuff and pop there when I get home to collect.. I would say 90% of my purchasing is online. After todays stressful experience I'm gonna try and get to grips with online groceries. Bl.... awful day... I try to use local shops but the attitude of people has just finished me. You may struggle to get delivery slots with some supermarkets, click and collect has been a good option for us just turn up collect and go. We use Waitrose and Morrisons both are fine but our local Morrisons tends to run out of things hence the use of Waitrose. Tesco is ok as well, we have not used Sainsburys so can't comment. I wouldn't shop in our local Morrisons its in the middle of town and way to crowded. Good luck with it.

Yes indeed @gazza ... washed, dried then oiled. I was told to re-use until the foam starts to break-up ... starting to, so I'll buy new for the sake of Β£4.88 and free postage. But when you think about it ... two bits of foam ! I can buy a bath sponge (basically the same thing) for 35p. New spark plug too for Β£3.50 ... last time I paid for a service it was Β£35 to Β£40 ... worth doing it myself Rog

Wish I could argue ianali ... but it is what it is. I wondered about cutting a bath sponge to a similar size ... but Β£4.88 isn't really worth arguing about ... and I've had the genny 14 years and this will be the first change ... just washed, dried and re-oiled usually. I'm going for dry October again ... I'll have saved more than Β£4.88 by midnight tomorrow Rog

It seems daft that with all those who have lost jobs that anywhere is struggling to find workers.. We don't have Waitress in Swansea though I have seen the van The Sainsburys one seems to be in the Mumbles most. Morrisons is way over t'other side as it big Tescos S'burys Aldi Lidl we just have small co-op and small Tescos. However suppose if I'm going to do online..providing I can get a slot won't matter which. My sis says very often they release new ones at midnight. If online gonna be way forward then all these supermarkets should be getting their acts together.

We use Ricoh for click and collect, mrs goes past it everyday from work so makes sense, can get a slot for Thursday evening if we place order by Wednesday evening. We usually shop at Aldi, but its just become a bit crap so have started using Tesco, only thing we find its you have to be cautious on what you buy as the bill can creep up, but Tesco have started to sell a range of cheaper products to compete with Aldi. Tesco Bedworth were doing click and collect in the car park next to the petrol station out of a truck, but it seems to have stopped now for some reason.

And, thinking of the Lake District, I see this piece of classical music has had a recent awakening (one of my favourite pieces):
