If you're listening to Classic fm or Radio three it could be because you're a conductor. Okay not that funny ... but better than stabby's Rog Please, give me a chance to redeem myself... Two television aerials got married. The ceremony was terrible but the reception was great!

It's funny this has come up - ONE of my jobs whilst we're in Huddersfield has been to replace the omni directional Ariel thingy with a pointed one with fins - result, going from 14 channels to 88 in the first re-scan, with the Ariel just pointing in the first direction I tried!
When I bought the cable to go from the Ariel to the junction box, instead of normal coax I bought satellite cable as I figured it might be better... as from looking at it, it's identical anyways.

Our tv is on our wall. The aerial lead is behind the wood panelling behind the tv. Only one lead and connector! The other end of the lead emerges in a cupboard approx twenty feet away. In here there is both a connector from sat dish and aerial. What I am intending is to connect lead by tv to either the TVs freesat or freeview connection. The other end will have to be connected to the dish or aerial. I’m happy this will all be fine. The problem I foresee is if the cable is connected to the TVs freesat mistakenly while the other end connected to the aerial. This will damage the freesat? Any ideas on how to prevent this possibility please? I can’t easily run a second cable behind the wood panelling and I dislike running cables where they can be seen. Apologies now for what may well be the poorest descriptive post ever. Feel free to ignore it 😀
