Maybe most of the people who DID sign it are just ground down by the whole Brexit debacle and have given up any faith in our government? Send them to Finland! Apparently we have assisted suicide here.

Brexit lies, it's not The Will of The People, it's the will of 28% of the populace, a 4% majority. Why not use the facts. I note you avoid the question, "Are people allowed to change their minds, in a democracy?" so what do you think, Yes or No. Fuckit Ooohh.... more intellectual thought from Darkest Brazil Nuts.

So how many times did you and the few others vote in the hard brexit petition? Anyone can make up a new email address and use someone’s name and address in an internet poll. We don't believe you. We have effectively been blackmailed by the EU. ‘if you leave, you can’t stay in the common market’. My understanding (and I may be wrong), is if we had chosen a Norway+ type of agreement we can stay in the 'common market'. Norway+ ? What is this? Coca-Cola lite? The Norwegians have made a mess of their own country, complete idiots and bad drivers on the roads, I would ignore anything the Norwegians have to say about anything.

Petition for a hard Brexit 392,966 Petition to Remain 2,728,265 witter on lads, witter on. One more time, yes or no, are people allowed to change their minds in a democracy? before you start wittering on .... did you look at the voting maps ? the remainer areas are predominantly London and wealthier areas of Southern England. It's the areas of lower average income want out ...... The ones at the top fear their EU gravy train going down the pan. The ones at the bottom have seen the EU drive their living standards down.

Oh I see. So you are including in the percentage who didn't vote for Brexit, people who are not eligible to vote because they have not reached voting age, or are prisoners etc? Clutching at straws, much? People affected by this whole debacle. Or are the 28% going to insulate them financially? If we have a hard Brexit would you like to pay swmbo's health insurance next time we go to Spain? Haha! As I said, those who want to stay in the EU only see as far as their own wallets. You are willing to let Nazi Germany enslave you - for what - 50 pence? As long as the UK has nuclear weapons, it will always be on top of the other European countries (except France who has them... apparently).

I haven't signed any Internet petitions, apart from, for fun, the one to prorogue Parliament. Internet petitions are a load of bollocks. What's needed, really, is a proper civil war at this stage. If 50% of the UK population gets wiped off the face of the Earth, it'll slow down Global Warming / Climate Change, so it can't be all bad.
Awfully decent if you can have it and over with by June when we're over for a spot of boating. Gosh - the canals are quiet!
Anyway, 3 whiskies after work, and sauna is ready. Back later, alligator!

I voted for Brexit in the referendum but I see no point in signing any type of petition re Brexit so I won't be so doing. It doesn't mean I have changed my mind.

I take it you haven't looked at the votes by area ...... it shows the figures as almost certainly fake. Where are the large numbers of votes being cast ? London. Cambridge, Oxford, Bristol and Brighton .... oh yeah ?

Cambridge, Oxford, Bristol and Brighton .... oh yeah ? University towns. www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/technology-47668946Questions have been asked about whether a government petition calling for Brexit to be cancelled has been swamped by bots. Bots are automated programmes which can carry out a command thousands of times. The BBC spoke to three cyber-security experts about how likely it is that a number of the 3m signatures gathered so far are not genuine. They all agreed that the petition's email validation process would be a deterrent. Each signatory has to supply a unique email address to which a verification link is sent before their signature can be accepted. UK-based signatories must also share a valid postcode. While email addresses are easy enough to set up, doing that in real time at high volume is less straightforward. Additionally, while it is possible to buy lists of email addresses stolen in various data breaches on the black market, the owner of the list would still need to access those email accounts and retrieve the validation email before being able to sign in the name of somebody else. Petition to revoke Article 50 passes 3m signatures Brexit pushed back by at least two weeks The email verification would be likely to deter bots said Lisa Forte, partner at the cyber-security firm Red-Goat. "Any significant political decision such as this petition is highly likely to attract bots," she told the BBC. "This particular petition is now employing email verification before signing, meaning it is much harder and therefore much less likely bots are being employed."

The current "free with the bank account" insurance will want a higher top up. Shania will be free.

the first line of your post "university towns" is an indicator of why it is not a valid indicator.
it is easy to get students jumping up and down together and plenty of activists to encourage, they have networks of SU's to organise so easy to get a false picture. "can't be faked as they need a unique email address" grow up I have 3 ..... god knows how many Jenlyn has to feed all the sock puppets he has put up on 'tother place !!!
