If your model is wood it is a very early model. There were Ormelites produced in ply during their early days that in design were very similar to the later GRP models. I don't know if there were any interim models produced that were ply and then sheathed in GRP. The later models (70s onwards) were fully GRP the with hardwood stiffeners moulded in An interesting source of information on an earlier model is the blog of the Sabrina Swan sabrinaswan.blogspot.com/2007/ or an unfortunately truncated group of owners ormelite.wordpress.com/The original disappeared due to illness of the owner followed by the host shutting it down due to fees not being paid .... unfortunately I didn't learn about it until too late otherwise I would have taken it on as it had a marvelous archive of original material from the family of the builders the original owner started off again on another host but it just stopped and I had no way of finding out what happened (The original owner Paul is pictured in the group on "Our Dave")

How early do you think then ? It used to have a Ford anglia engine in it , it runs off a chain drive, thereβs no builders plate but it has same lines as ormelite and lots of the same little features. Like the little cupboard in the bow, Iβd be interested to find more history Thanks

I am guessing maybe 67 68 but as I say it is guess work ..... the BW number won't be any help because they only stated 1980 so they are no help with anything earlier
