Moored up at Sykehouse Lock last night, got up this morning to crack on and I find this on the lock control panel. Anyone know what the deal is and if there is some special key I don't have that I need? Cheers

Sorry Welly, can't help. I've never come across anything looking like that before.

Cheers. I wonder what time it opens then. There's no information here. I've got no choice but to hang around! CRT's customer support is closed so how I can get in touch with them to find out what is what, I may be stuck here until Monday. π

OK, that pic of the man with the silver box/console panel seemed to be at a lift bridge and not at Sykehouse Lock.

144 by mudlarker2, on Flickr must have been open when I was there....... I certainly don't remember opening the bridge but definitely it was unmanned then (June 1st 2011)

trying to remember but going down hill in a narrowboat you might have enough clearance even with the bridge closed provided you are short enough to fit between top gates and bridge
