Interesting to see the usual suspects wheel out their personal preduices. Double joy for mr stabby NBTA to have a go at and an Eastern European .

I was wondering why you rarely see counter statements from CRT via their press office regarding statements like this. Claims like ‘predudice’ are quite serious so you’d think CRT would quickly want to dispel accusations publicaly if they are untrue. Maybe they don’t want to comment on individual cases. Occasionally they will attempt to counter accusations made against them, but only when they are perfectly in the right (which is seldom the case). Otherwise they say nothing and rely on it being yesterdays news tomorrow. The most recent attempt of course was their justification on spending for rebranding, which turned into a web of lies eventually, when parry admitted spending more on it than he had instructed his staff to put out on social media. Some staff were less than impressed.

As for the actual topic I wonder if the local authority has been involved with this.
IF it is unsafe housing then surely they would be interested.
Whether the boat has moved between boroughs would be something traceable as CRT have their loggers. Maybe jumping between boroughs keeps the council away, or maybe they just don't want to get involved with it.
It is a housing topic not a boating topic.
Its been obvious for years that at some stage people will start putting mobile homes onto boat hulls and create linear housing developments on towpaths. The most likely people to do this are people who can simply vanish if it goes tits up, leaving license payers to pay for wreck removal which is ££££.
I guess some people think it would be good if this happened.

The thing is, you can never quite believe the NBTA, who have a habit of overlooking pertinent facts if they do not fit in with their agenda. Could it possibly be that the owner is facing enforcement action because the boat has not moved from the same spot for 18 months, for example? I'm not saying that this is the case, but it is exactly the type of scenario where NBTA would generally opt to be "economical with the truth". Remind me what it is you've done to help other boaters?

Information relevant to matters such as this latest ruse by C&RT's hit squad doesn't have to be 'impartial', . . it needs only to be accurate !
I spoke with the NBTA representative who is helping the owner of the boat in question late last night and it's very plain that this is just another example of C&RT making things up as they go in a thinly disguised attempt to cover their latest abuses of due process with a veil of yet more pseudo-legality.

It is a housing topic not a boating topic. It's definitely a boating topic. It floats, has an engine and is actually on the water.

If stories like this got into the main media (papers, TV) rather than just cut and paste inro boating social media channels, they would probably take more of an interest in giving their side of the story.

Hence your dislike for its use. Bullshit. He's just like you tries to shut up people who disagree with him. Its not rocket science ! Calling people prejudiced because they have different views simply leads to collapse of any reasonable discussions. It is personal attack which undermines the validity of your argument. Present a reasoned view and allow others to discuss it without resorting to personal. Otherwise its completely pointless!

Even the nbta recognise that with their headline "BOAT DWELLER THREATENED WITH EVICTION. URGENT HELP NEEDED" eviction /ɪˈvɪkʃ(ə)n/ noun the action of expelling someone from a property; expulsion. "the forced eviction of residents" It is a housing topic. Why deny it?

Its not rocket science ! I rather think it is you who attempts to "shut people up", in order to continue your nonsensical behaviour of hiding under CRT's radar in the hope you're not noticed. Your rather silly attempts to ridicule those who go out of their way to help others says more about you than those you like to demonise.
