This video shows several highly dangerous machines for cutting logs and splitting them, and also some home made inventions for which completely different machines were adapted, and seem to do the job just as well as the expensive bought machines. I admire the people with the vision of how to adapt old stuff to do a new job so effectively. If the lady in red at the end of the video is willing to come and help me, I will install a log-burner too . Peter.

What they need, for safety, is a 2 tonne saw horse! Personally, I prefer to swing a felling axe or splitting maul properly. I could give that young lady lessons.

Even with your greatly better technic and more experience, I prefer the assistance of this lady in red . Peter.

Fairly high heels and a lovely red dress is the right stuff to do some wood-cutting it seems, she lightened up this (hard) task . You probably would have prefered to see a handsome young chap doing what she did , sorry that wasn't the case. Peter.

I didn't realise that this was so obvious . Peter. He's probably off building his own log splitter as we speak. As it happens, that trailer load of lengths we brought home yesterday, we're about to cut up, in a few minutes. I'll take a short video and put it here later today. We're just cutting them into logs, some splitting with the axe if thick, but not stacking them yet as the palettes on the ground in the cage/rack that is now empty should be renewed; we can get free palettes at the local hardware store in Himanka, I can nip in and ask tomorrow morning. They keep the logs off the ground.

Tasty pies? A "delicacy" round here is Holland's Pies, made in Baxenden, Haslingden. As we drove through Dad used to tell us to look for dogs on the street. We never saw one. I still look, still not seen one.

I'm not sure either, but she could certainly get her hands around my chopper. You mean the Raleigh Chopper? It would go well with the Honda express. Shania would wedge nicely between those high handlebars.
