When I have been on my own in our boat it has felt positively luxurious, all that space to myself. And the whole bed rather than be squished up against the wall. Boating is really just camping on water.

Boating is really just camping on water. Depends entirely on the boat. I've spent time on the Hebridean Princess..that in no way shape or form could be described as camping!... I think its possibly the most luxurious bed I've ever slept in... It was a bucket list wish of an old friend who cannot travel alone and I got ask to go along as carer...

Boating is really just camping on water. In that case you may have to start looking for another (more comfortable) boat, now you're only spending shortish holidays on board, but once you've retired and your stays will be longer, being squished against the wall every night will become a serious problem. I may have found a boat for you with a bit more space and comfort, there's a sauna too, it may not be ideal for the ditches, but you can't win them all www.woonboot.nl/ Peter.
