Started to get rid of the old lino and replace it with a bit of wood. I like the Teak deck look, but it is far too expensive for this boat. So I used a router to make the lines and the inlay is 0.8mm Birch which I am thinking of using stain. The Lino was looking tired. Floor Hatch What do you think of the colour of the inlay? I was thinking of doing the border in Royal Blue and the strips in Light oak stain. Main part of floor ready for the router.

Have to agree, that does look very good and loving the blue, just that little bit different. Phil Hi Phil, I agree, it is nice to have the contrast of the Blue. Got a bit more done today. Set out the lines on the main part of the floor. Gave the hatch some varnish and stained the Birch inlay. Cut the inlay to size and dry fitted. Glue up next and some more varnish. I will give the Aluminium a good clean.

A few more hours spent on the flooring. I am hoping the strips do not pop out when walked onπ. I think the Evostik will be OK. The main floor has to be varnished.
