Women should be given equal opportunities only when they have learned to reverse a car (properly - not into shopping trolleys) and can put a plug on an electrical appliance such as a kettle or washing machine.

I can put plugs on.....and reverse cars.... But don't need equal opportunities thankee..u blokes can carry on opening doors, letting me go first and carrying heavy loads... I'll work at fragile...

Maybe the positive and negative wires had different resistance.

Measured using a mastech clamp. Now here’s a question. I think I may know the answer having just measured again. Does the direction that you hold the clamp in affect the reading? I found your question...... err dunno

Measured using a mastech clamp. Now here’s a question. I think I may know the answer having just measured again. Does the direction that you hold the clamp in affect the reading? The direction you hold the clamp will affect the sign of the reading (positive or negative). If the cable is way off the axis of the clamp then the reading will be a bit less. If other things are equal then flipping the meter 180 degrees will probably give a slightly different absolute reading due to probable zero offset errors on the sensor. Those types of sensors tend to have a fairly high temperature coefficient for zero. Most meters have a “relative” button which you can use to zero the reading prior to inserting the cable into the clamp, to eliminate that problem.

I never did get an answer. If you get up at 4am tomorrow you can watch these videos and at the same time attain an air of superiority over those who drag themselves out of bed at 8:

Those are good videos, in my opinion. I watched them when I was thinking of buying a multimeter.
However, I understand many boaters are living in the Dark Ages with dongles and dingles and poor signals from the mobile masts, and with limited data allowance from rip-off mobile phone companies.
