When they get very frail it is a hard decision to make, but sometimes they really do flourish if the right home is found. Good luck in whatever you decide. Has she got a medialert in case she falls? I persuaded my old friend to sign up to it..all went well until they put the charges up then he cancelled....Im a bit annoyed with him as he has thousands stored away and can afford this gadget which could save his life. He does not have carers in and his son goes weeks without checking him. I ring several times a week but thats not really enough. He's had a few falls and is on warfarin so bleeds rather spectacularly.

She is pretty good at remembering to keep it with her at all times, although she did leave it upstairs this morning (and got a waggy finger from me!). She knows she done bad!
Anyway today she was caught doing washing up at the kitchen sink, then moaning because stuff had been put away in the wrong place. This was after she had decided to go out on her electric scooter thingy, just for a short jaunt down the lane but it's the first time she's been able to do that in about 3 weeks. She had quite a grin on as she disappeared into the distance at 5mph!

This morning before I got up she'd spent an hour tidying her bedroom and putting all her clothes back in the right places!

Anyone having a crack the BCNC this year?
It finishes on other side of netherton tunnel this year, always fancy doing it but end up miles away from Brum that time of the year, this year I have nothing planned and fancy it, but its a two day trip to get to the start and then three day trip home again, unless I shuffle the boat up there the week before..
