Perhaps the Brexit party should demand a second, "people's vote".

Bearing in mind it was only a 49% turnout if you assume everyone else CBA to vote is happy with the status quo then it was technically a Labour landslide.

Bearing in mind this was an election for an MP to help run the country, and bearing in mind the Brexit party have no policies beyond Brexit, this election just goes to show how incredibly stupid, short-sighted and irresponsible much of the electorate is. Democracy really is a pretty bad system.

Brexit still won there were more votes for brexit supporting parties than remain supporting parties But equally, demonstrates that the proportion of the population gagging for Brexit at any cost, is very small.

If anything can be taken from the result it is that the majority of the population do not want Brexit at any cost - hopefully Parliament will continue to reflect the views of the population.

Nice to see a bit of Loony support there You shouldn't say things like that about the Liberals and the Greens

Nige scuttled off PDQ after the votes were announced apparently. Still pushing his one policy item manifesto on the radio this morning, how, with a lot of ifs ands and buts, he and his little party would have won. The majority of voters obviously saw through the little man and his lust for power, preferring Jeremy and a true socialist state.

the major parties will be worried, when you think that the Brexit Party is only a matter of a couple of months old has very little party organisation on the ground yet and is pushing that close (Labour's share of the vote had dropped by 17%)

Democracy really is a pretty bad system. Yes, I agree. Personally I've always been in favour of despotism.
