the major parties will be worried, when you think that the Brexit Party is only a matter of a couple of months old has very little party organisation on the ground yet and is pushing that close (Labour's share of the vote had dropped by 17%) At risk of repeating myself....
You lost, get over it!
Unlike the remoaners, I believe in democracy. I am not suggesting it was unfair or the question on the ballot was unclear. However, you examine the results to see how and where you can do better.

Bearing in mind this was an election for an MP to help run the country, and bearing in mind the Brexit party have no policies beyond Brexit, this election just goes to show how incredibly stupid, short-sighted and irresponsible much of the electorate is. Democracy really is a pretty bad system. Disagree.
If anything can be taken from the result it is that the majority of the population do not want Brexit at any cost - hopefully Parliament will continue to reflect the views of the population.
Well I suppose it depends on whether you consider “the electorate” to be the entire eligible population, or those people who actually voted. If the majority of the population didn’t want Brexit at any cost, they would have voted Liberal Democrat.

So, all believers in democracy will be advocating for 2 things; One, a vote on deal, no deal or remain now that we know what is on offer. Two, a general election so that a right-wing lying turncoat doesn't become our pm without our sayso. It's not right that a few blue rinse oxygen stealers get to say who our next prime minister is, and where he will lead the country. It will be the second unelected pm in a row.
I've also heard several tories say "if we had a general election now Jeremy would win". So obviously that is the current "will of the people", to be ignored because tories are more interested in power than democracy, party before country. The tories caused this mess, they should pay the price.
True advocates of democracy also realise, that for it to function, if there is a very close vote on an issue the "winners" should accommodate the views of the "losers". So No No Deal!

All this has come about because politicians from ALL sides have failed to respect democracy. Supported by people such as yourself who fail to recognise a democratic decision.

See my last point. What did they vote for? Hard, soft, shared trade area, just sticking it to the man etc, all we were told was the vacuous and contemptuous Brexit means Brexit. It was in the hands of quitlings to vote for May's hard won deal, which personally I would have put up with. But no, quitlings would rather wreck the economy.

"In 2018, Tariq Mahmood, now 51, was convicted alongside fellow Labour members Maqbool Hussein and former Peterborough Mayor Mohammed Choudhary for forgery over a devious scheme to fabricate votes for the Peterborough City Council election of June 2004." Stupid Brits get what they ordered.

"Can't believe the daft twats in Peterborough! They get a labour MP who lies and commits a crime, then vote in another one! Deserve everything they get!"
"Peterborough is indeed populated by dullards. It’s a dump too…"
"This area has a history of buying votes in elections. Democracy is fucked. How ironic that this shithole features today in contrast to the brave men earlier in the week who upheld democracy rather than piss all over it? This is how much the Labour Party in Peterborough stinks. The whole of democracy both locally and nationally is being subverted in this country."

The only reason Lisa Forbes was elected was that Labour had the good sense to field a candidate who, while she was in favour of "Remain" and campaigned for it in the run-up to the referendum, is on record as saying that the accepts the result and as a representative of her electorate is now totally committed to Brexit. Had Labour fielded a dedicated and vociferous remainer they would have been wiped out. Just saying because Jim forgot to.
