I think I need to join something like RCR and it looks like that is possibly the best one to go for.
Is anybody here a member and might like to pm me a referral link please, for possible benefits to both?
Thanks in advance.

I think Mr Stabby might be a member as he mentioned it during the mattress on propeller episode.

Our insurance company Collidge were offering RCR three callouts/year for £65. This year it's £80. RCR themselves want £130 for four callouts/year.
Why do you feel you need to join RCR? Something's about to break, isn't it?!

I've been a gold member since 2004, and have their parts cover too.
It's reassuring to know you have someone to call when things go wrong.
I don't know anything about referral links though ... looked at RCR 's page and can't find anything there either.

I'm a member (called them out on my first day cruising) but don't have a referral link.

Rog I'm just struggling with the thought of spending £175 for a basic call out service (bronze) plus £50 excess for each visit. I know security is worth it but at the moment I only make one trip a year. However, if I break down on that trip Im stymied! It looks like there are no referral benefits to be had, so now I'm thinking I might as well save that money and try to find a local engineer if the worst happens. Thanks for the comments.

I'm on the retainer level £65 (although came free with the insurance) + £45 call out plus parts - I see it as a 'get out of jail card' rather than a full breakdown service.
