Fisher 37 is worth shed loads of money in good order. Very valuable boats. I didn't see it but it seems to me £5k for hull and engine is reasonable. I thought they were hull and deck mouldings though didn't realise they did diy finish boats.

Doing what makes you happy is probably the most important thing in life (strike that, I meant what keeps her happy...) but the notion was to approach the issue from a business perspective with a view to selling as soon as the paint is dry! You get to indulge your obvious passion for design as well as turning a coin. Not everyone can do what you're doing. Thats it, i just enjoy it, aslong i dont loose big money iam happy, i will break even on Khashoggi, the Norman i reckon aswell when done. I have not been to well health wise but getting better now so i am thinking on getting the `Waynes Boat Works services` going again soon I find many a boat on the cut i can get cheap or free, just time and money for them to make money.

The one i looked at was a ply deck and laminated and all delaminated. seriously i am barmy ill admit but no way to pay that for a hull and engine. A real factory Fisher fetch big money but not a DIY / fake one unless you put atleast £10k + into it and then get no worth back from it.

Don't see why not, outboards on ribs (for example) have a trim facility to raise and lower the attitude of the engine to the boat, I expect your Norman is capable of sitting up a bit at full chat. Just make sure the water intake is below the water!

I only will be litfing ti slightly, a few in th ribble link if it gets very shallow. planning ahead again thanks guys

I'll keep my fingers crossed the weather forecast is totally wrong - for all of our sakes! The wet don't bother me - skin is waterproof and clothes dry, for mouse it's the bloody wind that's the problem, either getting in and leaving locks, many of which are well exposed or the risk of crack willow coming down in the river and blocking navigation. mouse - Don't forget to drop the screen at Fotheringhay, we don't need a 1000 piece glass jigsaw 🤔🤦♂️

Never did have the patience for jigsaws. Could just about manage a 10 piece jobbie when the dwarf was little!

Were leaving tonight for the bottom lock of Caen Hill, to go up tomorrow. If its 50mph winds like they are suggesting i won't be doing the 23 locks and will have to leave it till sunday Although tomorrow morning might be ok. Who knows.

Caen hill would be a bastard in the teath of a howling gale! Ive called the shots as Husband, Father and senior rating onboard that we are moving this evening once the car shuffle is done, I rolled the dice last time we were out and lost, not risking it this time! Fingers crossed it will blow over through the night for everyone 👍🍻💨
