Liverpool looks quite an exciting place to go, I've never been there for a visit yet.
It is really good. It has a certain reputation, but that is left over from the 1970s. We visited a lot of towns and cities on 2 month trip - Liverpool was best on a number of counts including friendliness of natives, lack of rowdy /drunken behaviour, “things to do” (many of them free), cleanliness (of the city centre - the canal close to Eldorian village has a very large amount of plastic in it), spectacular nature of the arrival route (past the 3 Graces etc) and yes even friendliness of CRT staff! And a lot of foreign tourists. I thought a week there might be too long, but it wasn’t.
Manchester is a complete shit hole by comparison.
Tel - LEM - a - Khus for the thickos that didn't do the classics at proper school.
