I met him last year, he was moored between Beeston Iron and Beeston Stone, or Rogers lock as it shall be known going forward..
I like his style on the vids, chilled and laid back, not trying to be something else.

He seems a natural presenter, with a style that's engaging and fun, but he also doesn't come across as a smart arse. He's one of very few vloggers who you feel could make a career in presenting. His first couple of years of youtube videos are still my all-time favourites (in particular on the L+L), but I've noticed he has toned down the comedic approach a bit more recently, and on the BBC work. Or maybe he's sort of matured in some way since then, and just doesn't feel like messing about so much these days? They're a very mixed bunch, are the narrowboat vloggers (and my God, there are new ones appearing every week it seems- youtube keeps putting them on my screen). I appreciate what they do, because its a great way to get some info about new projects (like stove installs or batteries say), or an advance look at an upcoming lock flight. So I wouldn't want to slag them off as such. You can see videos made by a tiny channel with 10 viewers, and yet they even these often have a slick intro sequence with cool background music, multiple camera angles, artistic cut shots to nearby swans or scenery, drone shots- the whole nine yards. I always like to take a look at the newcomer channels, and the odd ones are worth a watch- sometimes the very wooden-ness and clumsiness of the presenter's narrative is what makes it watchable. But yes, a very mixed bunch indeed....

Thanks for your review of narrowboat vloggers Tony lol. T. Yeah, I know, I know... I have to admit I know far too much about them. All of them. I still watch lots of canal videos now, sometimes after spending a day cruising myself. What the hell's up with me?

I think most of us do the same don't we?! My brother spotted my boat on someone's vlog - imagine the joy, it felt like we were on the tele!
