He’s done Froghall tunnel to Bugsworth basin on this prog. I must say I’m enjoying it much more than Tim & Pru.

he's a really nice bloke - apparently he's not a butty boy so I'll have to stick to plan b lol.
I must say, having just watched him go from Marple to Huddersfield in half an hour and comment it was the hardest boating he's ever done with the most difficult sections/problems etc. I DO feel a sense of achievement having done it on my own (well with an old chap on board) earlier this year... encountering the same problems he did... getting stuck in the same shallow pounds etc.
I STILL love boating and am looking forward to doing it twice again next year after Liverpool.

The full five part series begins on BBC Four tomorrow evening (7.30pm if memory serves) ... tonight on BBC one was a regional one off episode.
I believe the five episodes are on daily at the same time.
Nice fella ... hope it does well for him.

Rog His boat is a bit skanky and he doesn’t even have a fridge, but yes seems a nice bloke and anyway Mark isn’t fussy.

His boat is a "bit skanky" ... his boat's his home ... not very posh but much loved.
Perhaps he is less concerned about impressing others .

Rog Only 8.3 on the virtue signalometer, you need to try harder. Having a fridge is not about impressing others, it is about life essentials such as plenty of ice in one’s G&T

Sorry but your standards are not everyones ... some of us have taste and no rivets Robbie said he would like to 'upgrade' his boat but it is what it is for the moment. Homely little boat. Rog
