He could have bought a lot of sweeties to entice them for $190 million.

I suppose there is always a chance that the bloke actually is a kiddie fiddler. that could apply to any of us. it seems to me the only reason why Musk got ancy was that his 'generous' offer of a stoopid underwater rescue vessel (to be used in a constricted cave environment?? .... DUHHH) was wisely rejected. if he has other evidence (does he even know the diver personally? ... I doubt it) then he has the chance to provide it to the UK and Thai police. frankly I couldn't give a damn what the diver's traits happen to be - he is a hero, period.

Musk needs looking after because he is developing technology which will allow humans (very small numbers with enough money and contacts) to colonise other planets and simply leave earth permanently and watch the rest of the humans destroy themselves. Climate change, wars etc.
There is no way an individual who is actually getting things done in this respect would ever be taken down by legal means. He is too important. Obviously he will be the first to be pushed out once the oxygen runs out but at the end of the day boffins are always needed in order to get the hardware sorted.

Apparently the jury didn't understand the law. If Elon is guilty the only punishment should be jail, any financial penalty or compensation will mean nothing to him.

Cannot visualise the concept of having so much wealth that a large fine would be meaningless but I guess there are those that fall in that category..

Or drag him into a flooded cave system and see if anyone wants to rescue him.

Or drag him into a flooded cave system and see if anyone wants to rescue him. He could test his own idea, the mini sub. Then we'll see how confident he is in the idea.

it would be so sad if he got stuck in a cave in his silly submarine and the good guys turned their back on him.
The world would miss his determination and innovative ideas, but sometimes principles are more important than results.

paedo or pedo
another example of language being dumbed down by those primitives living across the pond, to the point of confusion

Who'll be starting the thread 'Elon Musk' is a pedo-guy'? After all, he seems quite happy it's a word you can use in friendly banter.
