The Labour Party came about because of how the Whigs (Conservatives) and Royalty had traditionally treated the UK population. Labour stood for the working people, helped to bring along better wages, better working conditions, introduced the National Health Service, fought for the right to join a trade union, to be safe from unjust dismissal or random eviction from your home, nationalised industries, provided millions of people with homes, and abolished fox hunting with dogs. If you are a Lord or Lady or fabulously wealthy then I can understand your liking of the Conservative Party. However, if you are not, their main aim is to take away what you have and send your children up the chimneys of their large estate mansions to scrub the chimneys from the inside. Anyone living in a council house that votes for a party that is not Labour is a hypocrite. Although 'New Labour' is full of corrupt politicians and dodgy characters, if you think the Conservatives are any better then you are a fool - unless you have a very impressive portfolio of stocks and shares, and your doctor's practice is in Harley Street.

If that had been my child I would have had him asleep in my arms/on my lap.
"Initially Jack was given a bed in the Paediatric Emergency Department but was moved into the clinical room because of an emergency arrival at the hospital."
And quite rightly so. There are too many people taking up valuable beds that do not need to be there

Four-year-old kids don't mind sleeping on the floor anyway. I would often get up early on a Monday morning and find Sam asleep on the floor, half-in and half-out of his bedroom "because I didn't want to miss you when you went to work".

The Labour party in Wales has withdrawn a party election broadcast after it emerged that a nurse featured in the video who criticised the Conservative party was an actor. In the film, which was broadcast on Tuesday on the BBC, ITV and S4C, the nurse tells viewers how a trade deal with US president Donald Trump is a threat to the NHS. The actor, dressed in a blue NHS style uniform, told viewers: βWe will increase the funding available to our health service. Labour is the party that created the NHS, and we will defend it against Tory attempts to sell it off for parts to Donald Trump.β Labour said it was not aware that the nurse was fake until someone pointed out she was an actor, in contravention of the guidelines for such broadcasts. www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/nov/14/fake-nurse-welsh-labour-withdraws-party-video-featuring-actorThe only thing I can add to this is this. Why has it become politically incorrect to refer to an actor who is female as an actress? This has me puzzled ..why cannot lady actors be actress es.... this stupid referring everyone in the whatever format is just..stupid

Mine will build a den and sleep on that quite happily

There are too many people taking up valuable beds that do not need to be there I guess that would have interfered with the parents using their smartphones, so the floor it was. I often sleep on the floor at airports. Is this an outrage?

Funny how the timing was so convenient...Also,how did I get through tonsilitis/ flu etc without going to A&E when I was a child ? Did my parents neglect me or is it the let's go to A&E when a child sneezes or farts these days? Read about a local to me child who sprained an ankle playing.Mum phoned 101 even though she felt it was nothing serious.101 told her to go to A&E,she then complained that she had to wait over 4 hrs just to be told it just was a really simple sprain.I said that to cover themselves,101 would send you to A&E with a broken fingernail !!!

I was going to be morally outraged that the mum took her son to hospital because he had flu. However she only took him to the doctors and they called the ambulance.

The mum put the child on the floor so she could take a photo and show how badly they were being treated. Probably a labour supporterπ. Its caused such an outrage but I bet it happens up and down the country all the time. Funny how this particular incident is so news worthy a week before a general election. The child is 4, like I said the mum could have easily held him and cuddled him. It's also possable that this incident happened after he was diagnosed and did not require a bed.

But going back to Trina point yes they do it seems to be the normal thing for 101 to do. Also doctors are the same, every time I did my knee in they said nothing they can do. I have to go to a and e and get them to refer me to physio. Why the dr can't refer you I don't know it would save so much money and wasted resources freeing up a&e to treat people who are dieing.
