Due to the nature of my work I often come across quite interesting and unusual items available for sale to interested parties. It's something unpredictable but in the end it's right. I hope you had the time of your life.
Anyway. I have to be quite careful to remove personal details therefore parts have been redacted. I assume that means "removed".
Jez is a lifelong boat 'fusiast. Keen sailor and narrow boater as it happens including some training around how to steer a ship (following section redacted). As the old saying goes "there is nothing [nothing] half so much worth doing as messing about in pools of money".
He has a ship. It's berthed at the Swan Hunter yard waiting for some refit works. It's a really good boat with a lot of optimistic passengers on it waiting for a long voyage preferably avoiding any nasty volcanoes. With high decks they can see a wonderful future. Obviously if the decks were a bit lower the view would be more realistic but it's difficult to alter deck heights on ships. Part of the reason for the berthing at Swan Hunter was to look at altering deck heights with a view to improving the reality of the outlook. So far this has proved too expensive.
He likes being captain. The ship is sinking and has been hauled out.
Following a structural survey in dock it has been established that the ship will sink so it is being sold for scrap.
Offers invited.

Discussions are underway and it seems probable that the vessel is going to be cut up and the proceeds, which will be substantial given the size of the vessel and the quality of onboard equipment, is earmarked for redistribution to people who already have (section redacted for national security purposes).
The engines are being sold off to the private sector as is the keel. Unfortunately being a motor vessel there are no sails to sell. And no masts.
Generators are being sold to the French a and the air con units are going to China. Heating system is on auction the high bidder is Finland.
The water the boat was previously floating on is being sold the the US/USSR megalith world domination confederation.

Should the provenance of such a rarity be established without any possible doubt its monetary value may go some distance towards reducing the National Debt...... I am almost speechless by the enormity of the possible priceless implications of this vessel......

It may be to late it appears that it is sinking fast! the shipyard would like the captain to return so that in time honoured fashion he can sink with the ship!! The y would also like all the ships officers to accompany him to the bottom in its final journey
