perhaps anything which makes ridicule of the ancient beliefs, that were invented by people who knew no better because they didn't have benefit of scientific knowledge, is a good thing.
I'm currently reading an essay called Labrynth by Philip Appleman - it it the best argument I have ever read for abolishing belief systems. He is highly critical of the concept of 'divine right' which he describes as an arrogant assumption of the advanced animal called homo sapiens. He rightly claims that, for a believer, all forms of immorality from the Holocaust to rape and murder, can be forgiven by god, whilst an atheist has no such refuge.
to quote "religion stalks across the face of human history, knee-deep in the blood of innocents, clasping its red hands in hymns of praise to an approving god".
I clicked the link.. Not having viewed the programme I cannot pass judgement.... For me I do not like 'humour' where it deliberately sets out to offend to get a cheap laugh....
However there are also those who deliberately set out to be offended...
Yes, you have often displayed this yourself.
What I find funny with you, is your opinion, why? Well, all through the brexit and election process, you were constantly breathing vehement opinions, but could not back them up. The reason being you were merely using crap from momentum, and you couldn't back it up because momentum didn't provide that service. 🤭 So basically, I'm suggesting your opinions have little value or influence.
At least these days, the Christians tend not to kill people for not subscribing to their brand of fiction. So its safe-ish to make a satire about them, and this just exposes the hypocrisy of the entertainment industry because nobody would dare make a film in which Mohammed is gay. Can you imagine? Wow. Even a fun show about Scientology is inadvisable. I will watch the Netflix effort though, just to see if it is in fact funny. However from the description it seems it has but the one joke.
As for expressing ridicule and contempt: the Islamists expressed their ridicule and contempt for blasphemers and infidels when, in Afghanistan when the Taliban were enjoying the peak of their success, the preferred method of execution was by steam-roller. But at the Charlie Hebdow offices they were just kidding around.
Its funny how just a little while ago there was a thread concerning freedom of expression here on this very forum. But it seems that this 'freedom' only goes so far. I bet that there are some admin rules about this sort of thing.

JohnV: There are other drugs but I haven't found the side effects with Ramipril to be bad, it seems to just make my throat a bit more sensitive so things that might have just tickled my throat and make me want to clear it now make me cough.

loddon: The cough is the only one I get from ramipril, although the combinatins of drugs I am on has interesting effects.
