Unlike the British awards there's no need to be an egotistical prick in order to qualify for nomination. It may help, but it's not mandatory. Neither will the nominees full addresses be published for all to see. My nominations:
1/ 'Never giving up posting regardless of the abuse received for their views' award. This can surely only go to Foxy.
2/ 'Stoicism' award. Similar to 1/ but slightly different. I nominate Jim Riley, for still supporting Labour.
3/ 'Humour' award. I nominate Mr Stabby for his ability to denigrate the views of others in an amusing way.
4/ 'Forum matriarch award'. I nominate Patty. Always has wise words without strong opinions, all round good egg.
Any more nominations?

5/ 'Honesty award' goes to Ricco for being the first to say he is clueless when sticking bits of wood together.
PS : if you nominate MM for being the greatist multiplist boatist and publish his address we can all go round there at New Year to drink his vintage wine cellar dry and make a start on his family's collection of 100 year-old malt.

Aye, I was clueless, but the cupboards I made came out perfectly. Luck or judgment? I dunno. Maybe I should be nominated for 'bodger of the year' award.

Why thanks Clinton Cool. Do I get an engraved cup, or just a badge? We need an "egotistical prick" award Shirley

I'm irreplaceable (fortunately). ............... oh! and there's no such thing as luck when something finally goes right. it's always the result of persecution, perspiration and persuasion. well done!

Maybe there should be an award for the person who has met as many other forum members as possible. I've only met a few off here. JohnV, bodger, NigelMoore, @nemesis and naughtyfox. In no particular order. I'm sure others are more accomplished in this respect. It is quite a good thing to do I find.

I remember the pic that Mr Fox posted of himself and you standing on the back of your former 'yot'. And I thought he was the odd-looking chap in the hat. Imagine my surprise.

I remember a narrow boat moored on a garden near Hemel Hempstead called "Misses Bridges" good boat name.
