One of the great musicians has gone. Neil Peart. Very few drummers stirred my soul. He wasn't just the drummer. Neil also wrote the majority of the lyrics.

Prediction: Donald Trump. Killed by an American. There are plenty of them that would cherish going down in folklore and remembered forever. They may one day even get a famous actor to play them. The odds wouldn't be great

The odds wouldn't be great I think that might be specially relevant with someone who realises they have a terminal neurodegenerative disease. As a president there are 3 choices. DIY, the quack or assassin. I know which I'd go for !!

"Jones was 77 and had been battling dementia for several years."
How do you battle dementia for several years, surely every few seconds you keep forgetting what you're fighting against?

Funny and clever man. RIP. I realise this is sacrilege to say but I never really "got" Monty Python.

I thought it would be right up your street.. Your first adjective sums up the Monty Python phenomenon for me. It was always a "King's new clothes" thing, if you didn't find it funny then you weren't intelligent so obviously people found it funny because, let's face it, who wants to be unintelligent? Who doesn't want to be "in with the in crowd"? However, in the spirit of compromise I will concede that it was childish.
