I suppose as the tax paying public are paying for their privileged life-style, we are entitled to express an opinion. Rog I am not convinced any actual money from the tax payer goes to the royal family. Now more educated fellows might know the answer but I am under the impression that the crown estate made 330 million in profit which the government gets and they pay 25% back to the queen. She has two more sources of income one is paid to the head of state and one is her private investments, she pays tax on both. my understanding is that there is a fund called the Sovereign Grant which is paid from the public purse, and that Harry's share of that is only 5% of his total income.

She also gets 6million a year from the eu in farming subsidies, well that will stop soon.

Here's a couple of poems I made up, I'm afraid they don't scan terribly well.
There once was a prince called Harry In the classroom he did not tarry He followed his heart Got hitched to a tart And now he's going to learn the meaning of the expression 'buyer's remorse'.
There once was a girl called Meghan Who had visions of a stairway to heaven It had an estimated 30 million steps Belonged to a boy with shit for brains And the happiest day of her life was when she got married without signing a pre-nuptial agreement.

You’ve got to hand it to Meghan there are no flies on her. Leave the baby in Canada and then return when the shit hits the fan with the rest of the “royal” family.

One wonders if the whole scam about Harry being related to Prince Charles will get exposed if he steps away from royal duties.
Perhaps the income from his real father resulting from being sent to Coventry would be significantly lower than he is currently used to receiving from his pretend father the king in waiting.
I still think it would be good money but apparently people who become accustomed to having ridiculous amounts of money to throw about can find it very difficult to accept a major decrease.
If you have ten million a year then a million a year could easily look like hardship.
It must be terrible..

To be honest, I'm more 'interested' in the crashed passenger plane and whether or not it was shot down, than the royals story. Actually I'm more interested in Mr Stabby 's love life than the royals story Rog

' course it was. after launching all those missiles the system was on high alert with a bunch of trigger-happy missileers ready to knock out anything that looked like US retaliation. if they have nothing to hide then they'll allow the US to examine the orange (black) box - which they will never do.

The plane was hijacked with the intention of flying it to Israel and crashing it into an urban area.
Someone got wind of the hijack and took the plane down while it was still at a sensible height for SA missiles.
Delayed flight = extra people on board, loss of comms seems to be disabled pilots.
If it had been allowed to continue it would have become a seriously tricky situation.
Technically interesting in the sense that US and/or Israeli jets would have been scrambled and been obliged to escort and take it down but that would be pretty nasty. Certainly a lot more nasty than getting it down shortly after takeoff on a complicated night.
It does seem an intriguing question what would happen if a hijacked plane was allowed to get to its destination. I really do think that the passengers would be sacrificed to save lives on the ground, with 11/9/01 still in people's recent memory.
Nasty

Actually I'm more interested in Mr Stabby 's love life than the royals story I don't have a love life. Maybe it would be nice to but the problem is that I'm just not interested in women over the age of 25, and this age demographic is not noted for its interest in narrowboating and poverty.
