I think the new boat old engine topic is about the RCD which requires certified engines. If you bought a shell and self fitted it it seems to be okay. Not quite sure if that is right but I believe there are some restrictions. Also if it's a "replica" there might be some sort of exception. If you buy a sailaway, you can spec your own engine. There are only guidelines at the moment, which are not enforceable, though I am sure that will change sooner rather than later.

I have been looking at RCD 2 and its all micky mouse stuff to me I will speak to Johny tomorrow he builds boats so might know

Looking at the images more closely I started wondering if the carpet is included. Obviously a 4LW is not worth double figure thousands by any stretch of the imagination but that carpet is very high class. Possibly worth as much as the power unit itself maybe even considerably more when you take into account it's provenance. Great carpet.
