A Full 'Snow' Moon will illuminate the sky on Sunday night - the first 'supermoon' of the decade. The Snow Moon is the name given to the February full moon because it often coincides with with heavy snowfall, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac. In the UK, the Snow Moon will rise at around 15:50 GMT on Saturday, February 8, and be visible throughout the night until 07:55 on Sunday, before rising again at 17:15. The exact moment of 'fullness', when the Moon is directly opposite the Sun is at 07:33 on Sunday, February 9. www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-7979175/Full-Snow-Moon-supermoon-decade-rise-weekend.html

So it's a full moon.
And it might snow.
Thanks.

Just for foxy Snow Moon would make a good name for a narrowboat methinks. I wonder if anyone has grabbed it. Raining here, +2C. Odd for February, should be minus 30 and plenty of snow. Roads all black ice again, how dreary. I wonder if we'll be getting a lash off Storm Ciabatta or whatever stupid name it has. Will take a another day to cross over Sweden? The mountains of Norway may break it up a bit.
