Suggestions on fb that the Rochdale may be closed all summer. Wondered if Jim was up to speed on this. Wasn't quaysider planning to go that way ... the kiss of death to any waterway Rog

On the subject of Problems in the wilds of the mountain passes, has anyone heard from Jim Riley haven't seen a post from him today. Hopefully he's ok and has not succumbed to either flooding or the lurgy

It seems the culvert may have failed "upwards" ie from a flood surge from below rather than an excess of water from above.

That looks spectacularly bad.
Forgive my not knowing that area ... I take it a water course ran alongside the canal, and that flooded and washed the canal away basically.
That's not going to be a quick fix.
