Well its been a nasty 2 days here river up again Kilnhurst has flooded higher than the last highest ever! Here the river has gone down to local flooding possible, tell that to the local railway line under 2 foot of water!! Tonight we had thunder and lightning with torrential rain again, on the plus side my VAWT has been making lots of lecce "You're not the only one. When it first appeared , many train crew gave it a quick glance on a phone screen and thought it was a road lane flooded, only when someone zoomed in and saw the tracks at the top of the pic, did it dawn the flooding there is the worst that has been seen for a long time." www.railforums.co.uk/threads/storm-dennis-disruption-15th-16th.200223/page-6A pretty handy site for live info.

quaysider What is that peeping out by your left knee? Looks surprisingly round and well polished. It's pics of the bridge and river we want.

Well hope everybody fared alright last night. Still windy up here but at least the rain's stopped. I appear to have acquired a trampoline and a shed roof overnight.

Good idea, though swmbo has messaged me. Now it's light she's been out to check and what I thought was a shed roof is part of the flat roof off my neighbour's kitchen.

That sounds a massive pain in the arse, especially for your neighbour. Sorting out the mess from mouse escaping escape hatch has been pain enough, bugger loosing the roof off the kitchen!

Rain but not biblical, wind but much less than last weekend ...... river up and climbing but still well below previous weeks. Beverley seems to have dodged this one

Looks likely that we'll be taking the boat nowhere next week, just up to Newbury & back if we're lucky.
