The EA gauge just lowside of Cranfleet Lock is presently showing 14' above the lower figure for the 'typical range' for the Trent at that location. My mooring is a bit under 3 miles downriver from Cranfleet, and the water is just lapping at the bottom of the plug and socket on the electric post high up on the bank. I'll keep my fngers crossed you'll keep your supply but looking at the gauges they seem to expect it to still climb a bit more over the next few hours. Stay safe !!!

I DO miss our old wine-Wednesdays... alas, Sally and Blaggy now live and work in Harrogate so it's not the same with just tree and I.
All is well here - river is quite low considering... we certainly dodged a bullet compared the last week - my plan is to pull ropes and head to Leeds on 8th March so there's (hopefully) plenty of time for it settle down.... famous last words of course...

You know that stuff you asked me to put into storage for you? Do you think you could pick it up sometime as it's getting in the way. Ta.

After seeing entire villages and towns under water, people being rescued from homes and boats this sort of post really gets on my nerve.

A new flood warning for Hungerford-Newbury just up. Not 'possible' but 'already happened'. Level higher than around Christmas.

Rivers are great fun aren't they ? Not being able to cruise is a minor consideration compared to safety. Hope our river dwellers are still okay JohnV , kris , TonyDunkley . Rog

Thames is flying properly now. Not up much but the concrete bank has gone and tops of bollards only showing a little bit. Nothing like what JohnV gets but still a fairly noticeable bit of water. That bank is usually about 2ft above the water. Level still coming up. It's a bit of a nuisance spot here as on outside of a bend but luckily any debris coming down seems to miss the boat. Which is handy.

Is that your permanent mooring @someboater ? For some reason I thought your London mooring would have very well regulated levels. Rog (PS Sorry I should have mentioned you as one of the river dwellers )

Rog (PS Sorry I should have mentioned you as one of the river dwellers ) No this is a visitor mooring on the Thames near Staines. The barge is on a residential floating pontoon on a ditch plus protected by Thames barrier so never moves much. I have more than 7 boats. It's an MI6 tactic to move between vessels to avoid detection by the FSB.

Just when you need them the water level information for the Trent at shardlow isn’t available. Not a good sign maybe it’s under water? Anyway at least it’s going down now.
