Is everyone getting this message from the quack or is it just because my last interaction with a doctor several years ago was when I had CAP Pneumonia badly? SMS no 1 "If you've come to the UK from China, Thailand, Japan, Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia or Macau in the last 14 days, have cough, fever or shortness of breath - or have been in close contact with someone with confirmed coronavirus - stay indoors and call NHS 111. Even if symptoms are mild - do not go to a GP , pharmacy or hospital avoid close contact with people." SMS no 2 "For latest advice, visit the Dept of Health website or select: www.gov.uk/guidance/wuhan-novel-coronavirus-information-for-the-public xxxxxx Practice " Xxxxxx is my doctor surgery. Nothing directly but it is on my local surgerys website home page. www.northamsurgery.nhs.uk/

I'm a bit disappointed in Wakefield... today whilst in the shopping centre I saw a sign up outside Superdrug saying "please note we are sold out of Face masks and hand sanitizer "...
SO much for the 'rufty tufty' west yorkshire locals...

It's all just the most over-hyped bollocks imaginable. According to the World Health Organisation cases of Corona virus peaked in China two weeks ago and are now in decline.
3,500 people have died from it in two months, 24,000 people die of starvation every single day.
It's just like in the 1980s when the AIDS scare stories were going around, I once watched a TV presenter solemnly declare "By the early 1990s, every family in the country will be touched by AIDS"

And the best medical advice for control is ... wash your hands ... thoroughly and often.
Do you think this means every day !

It's all just the most over-hyped bollocks imaginable. Not really. Our return plane from Osaka to Helsinki for May 3rd has been cancelled. Every flight for that time, for every day, has been cancelled until further notice (12 flights/week reduced to 10 on that run). Imagine standing at Osaka airport and saying "This is bollocks." Somehow I do not think a plane will magically appear. We may be cancelling our jaunt to Japan. One family we were to stay with for 4 nights has said they don't want us staying with them for fear of us bringing the coronavirus from abroad/the plane. Finnair has been carting Chinese all round the world, all coughing and sneezing and spitting. The effects are becoming more real every day.

It's all just the most over-hyped bollocks imaginable. Its serious shit alright...๐ฑ With 87 cases now reported in the UK over the last couple of months, its probably pushing 'Annual number of people getting their penis stuck in a Dyson vacuum' ย into breaking intoย 'The Top 10,000 list of serious risks to your health'!

I wonder what the death rate due to the disruption directly or indirectly of services, industry and travel rather than the virus will be?

breaking news - Foxxy has to rebook !!
you are the one over-hyping it. clearly the reduction in flights is only the result of a reduction in passenger demand. so what?

I wonder what the death rate due to the disruption directly or indirectly of services, industry and travel rather than the virus will be? that's the question I always ask when the police close a motorway for hours on end because there has been an incident.......... like a couple of years ago when an eejit was threatening to jump off the Avonmouth Bridge on the M5 on a Sunday on a roasting day in high summer and the road was closed for most of the day with millions of folk trying to get back home after the hols.
