Not really. Our return plane from Osaka to Helsinki for May 3rd has been cancelled. Every flight for that time, for every day, has been cancelled until further notice (12 flights/week reduced to 10 on that run). clearly the reduction in flights is only the result of a reduction in passenger demand.
Due to fear of the coronavirus and of people not flying because of it. Schools in Japan closed for all of March in an attempt to contain the spread. Pirkko went shopping yesterday and said some shelves were empty as people have been panic-buying. She brought home a big pack of kitchen towel. I said - Is that what we'll be eating?

I wonder what the death rate due to the disruption directly or indirectly of services, industry and travel rather than the virus will be? that's the question I always ask when the police close a motorway for hours on end because there has been an incident.......... like a couple of years ago when an eejit was threatening to jump off the Avonmouth Bridge on the M5 on a Sunday on a roasting day in high summer and the road was closed for most of the day with millions of folk trying to get back home after the hols. You are the one over-hyping it.

I see the old codgers at parliament are eyeing up the opportunity of a nice long holiday. No doubt on full pay.

Well Flybe going bust (in part due to corona virus) is bad news for us. Looks like every trip to boat will now be an 8 hour drive or train journey.

Flybe had been in deep financial trouble for a long time. In any event, if there is demand for a direct air route from Aberdeen to Birmingham, one of the other low-cost carriers will grab the airport slots.

Wait till we have to use HS2 because the original railway is overloaded with freight that we have imported from China rather than get our hand dirty making it in house, Then we will really know prices! Love the emoticon!

Actually I was pleasantly surprised when I looked. Split ticketing + senior railcard means if I go at the right time, it can be £35, or £75 first class (each way).

In my dreams I always see you as a god like figure(Hermes) swooping down to your floating palace, Jeff upon your back. I am disappointed to hear that the reality was Flybe. Oh well, another illusion shattered.

You know, the git who doesn't pay any tax. He does part own it and was going to put 30 million in to rescue it, however in a couple of months he might be able to buy it for a lot less
