"So I can go and trashed in a pub but my family of 5 can't visit any friends in a private garden..."
"But you CAN meet that family in a pub to help the economy!"
"If the government told you to spin round and only keep one eye open while in pubs, you fools would start doing it"

"Tories are out at the next election." "It's a dictatorship - now we won't get to vote anymore." All Hail the Great leader!

I suspect they r trying to keep the economy going..I know 10pm last orders but maybe thats to stop the boozers at night It won't matter what they do it'll be wrong in some folks eyes... I wouldn't want to make their decisions.. Whats wrong with meeting up in pubs if thats what folks can do?.. I sometimes think people moan because thats what they do. I don't want folk here overnight, I don't want a house party..so at least now I have a valid reason to say... Nah I listen to some folks and the twittering on about it all is just stupid.

Why would you want to be longer? The landlord and his wife need to sleep too. Fridays & Saturdays can be up to 1am - that gives you 9 hours sleep to 10am when it is time to start Saturday's breakfast / Sunday Lunch.

My favourite thing in Southampton was cancelled at the last hour. It was ready and set up too. The Southampton Boat Show has been my friend, we go 4 or 5 times every year. This popped up on my fb today from 6 years ago when my boy was 8. Sailing a J/95. We do all the try a boats and ribs. Wanted to get them both on a stand up board this year.

Well they arenβt doing a good job of looking after the economy. The footsie100 is performing dreadfully. Compared with Europe it has dived over the last year. We have no leader. So, I donβt agree with you that people moan because thatβs what they do. People are moaning because we are being taken for fools.

The one thing I do not understand in all of this is the obvious problem which is that "there are too many humans" and "if a lot of them die it is actually beneficial to the others". I put it in quotes as not sure if it is legal to express this sort of thing. It seems strange that allowing a natural cull is seen as unacceptable. Why do I think its the pharmaceutical industry running this show ? Everyone now knows that we are facing a 'climate emergency'. Everyone now knows that it's the actions of humans i.e. consumption that has caused the climate emergency. The more humans there are, the more damage there is to the planet. The solution to this crisis, according to the government, goes something like this: 1/ Prevent as many deaths as possible. 2/ Increase family benefits at every budget, in order to encourage more births. 3/ 'Kick start' the economy as soon as possible so we can continue to increase our consumption. 4/ Maintain Britain's 'standing' in the world. Be 'open and internationalist'. Continue using foreign aid to help poorer countries become richer so their people can consume more as well. It's a funny old world.

Even if our government had done better people would still moan...those that like moaning will keep on moaning regardless.... there are always folk that have negative view on life. We r in for a rough time..we've been through a pandemic..pre that we virtually did what we liked..travelled, went out, mixed, joined clubs etc..Life is very different now and theres a huge price to pay for what has happened. Chuck out Boris what do we have?...suspect none of the others would do any better... Maybe we r being taken for fools but I doubt any of our leaders respect the rights of the common people....
