Went for my daily walk plan being(as per norm)..walk n pick up few essentials on the way back..no car now so I have to carry what I buy up an hill..well half way up a hill... Problem is now the chemist only opens a few hours a day and I need my prescription...however opens 10am and obviously there will be a queue....I'm always home by 9 at the latest before the world and his dog venture forth.. Tried phoning to see if they can deliver..constantly engaged.. I guess gonna have to stand in a queue with a zillion others..if they want social distancing to work they need to extend not reduce opening times.

"If everyone perfectly follows the 'don't catch it' strategy then what happens when the lockdown is lifted - as it will have to be eventually - if we stopped the virus so effectively that almost no-one yet has any immunity to it... and then the someone brings the virus back in, for example perhaps from another country?" obviously a thick individual that is unable to read between the lines and work things out Aegrescit medendo.

20 flights arrived yesterday into London from NY.
▪️There was no social distancing on the plane ▪️No checks when they arrived. ▪️these passengers dispersed, many to the Tube.
Meanwhile police drones threaten sole walkers in the Peak District.
Utter nonsense.

Here's the last time Tories cheered in relation to the NHS: Listen to them celebrate as they defeated Labour's motion to give NHS and emergency service workers a long-overdue pay raise.

.. if they want social distancing to work they need to extend not reduce opening times. Absolutely right !! This simple truth was not only predictable, but has been all too evident since shop opening hours were reduced. I remain convinced that the Government's so-called containment measures for supposedly slowing down the spread of the Covid-19 virus are more about finding out just how meekly receptive the public has become to regimentation and curfew.

"EasyJet grounds its ENTIRE fleet of 330 planes due to coronavirus - 10 days after it handed shareholders a £174million payout" "The grounding of its gigantic fleet came just over a week after the airline pressed ahead with a £174million payout to shareholders - days after calling for a state loan to help them survive - and one third of the cash went to founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou." "The airline said that it might need lines of credit or loans from the government to cope with the coronavirus crisis. It insisted last night, however, that this would not affect the payout, £60 million of which will go to its founder, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou " I'm not defending the morality of that, but they were obliged to make the dividend payment after taking legal advice. They want to borrow money at a commercial rate. What is remarkable about that?

What really bothers me is this letter from the prime minister that everyone is going to get. He's got the bloody virus ffs don't touch the letter it might be infected.

China Helped Put This Man In Charge Of the World Health Organization—Is It Paying Off? World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus won his post after China backed him in the May 2017 election. Now, Tedros is leading the WHO, an arm of the United Nations, in providing cover for China’s oppressive regime as it attempts to shirk responsibility for the global coronavirus pandemic. Despite all evidence to the contrary, Chinese authorities are weaving a false counternarrative in which China was actually the victim of a foreign virus that it quickly moved to contain. And the WHO is helping them do it. Tedros has praised China’s “transparency” and held up the country as a model response — even though the communist regime covered and then concealed the severity of the outbreak. Chinese authorities forced scientists who discovered the virus in December to destroy proof of the virus, U.K. newspaper The Sunday Times reported. The Chinese regime also punished doctors who tried to warn the public in the outbreak’s early stages and suppressed information about the virus online. A Chinese real estate mogul who criticized his government’s response has since gone missing. nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/china-helped-put-man-charge-world-health-organization%E2%80%94-it-paying-136002
