I read about this in Private Eye about 4 weeks ago. Only it was a man. Perhaps he now 'identifies' as a female?

The colours of some of the ciders I drink can be a tad off-putting sometimes...

Perhaps the big brewers at Burton-on-Trent should hire these two, as most of stuff that comes out of there tastes like piss anyway.

Talking of home brew, anyone on here ever had a go at it, more beer than wine.
Fancy a go but no real clue where to start, see they have kits in Wilkos but looks expensive.

never did much with beer although I did make a couple of those kits in a bag things ...... drinkable
Used to make wine (apple, plum, damson, Meadowsweet, elderflower, elderberry and once strawberry sparkling (which came out very well but to be honest I would rather eat them)
About 10% was very good ...... 10% was ok ..... 20% drinkable (just) the remaining 60% was good for cleaning drains

I know an alcoholic who regularly knocks up a batch of beer. He reckons he's a master brewer but is apparently known for drinking his produce when it is still very 'green'.
I used to make wine, most successfully with elderberry. But if you drink it make sure you have some aspirin on standby. Mamma mia.
Whether you make beer or wine, the key is cleanliness and access to lots of water. Wine is better suited to the boat since it needs far less room.
I always wanted to have a go at distilling, and these days there are many professional-looking kits on ebay. But they are all foreign sellers and I'm not sure if they would make it through customs. Looks like fun though.

Would be done at home, have a nice big cupboard I could control the temp in, not interested in wine, just some good pale ales I think.
Might just try a kit from wilkos to see how I get on.
