I have a confession... WHILST I don't class myself as having an addictive (yes that IS the correct spelling Stabby) personality, a friend introduced me to the BEST/WORST time-wasting app the other week; 'TikTok'.
I'd never heard of it but now must admit when I'm trying to kill a few mins (such as waiting for a kettle to boil or Foxy to get to the point), I get totally immersed in pointless, sometimes amusing, sometimes heart warming but mostly pointless short videos of - mainly young and sexy people doing pointless, amusing things.
It makes me feel old but I 'm hooked... the sooner I leave winter mooring land, the better.
Here's a public information announcement that might help keep some of us alive during these times of germ warfare!

It's worse on your phone as it goes on FOREVER...

when you install the app on your phone (Ask a young person) it just keeps attracting your attention whenever your brain goes into 'standby mode'- there are "dances, trends, challenges etc etc - I've even learned some new cookery!!!

Even the savviest young person would struggle to install an app on my mobile phone. That looks like the phone I used to play 'Snake' on a loooooong time ago ! Nokia 6230i. Fantastic phone. Over 25 years old now. Both of my kids laugh at it and have the latest, coolest, all-singing, all-dancing £500 mobile phones, yet even though we are all on 02, so many times when we're away on the boat in remote areas I'm the only one out of the three of us who has a signal.

I could have taught you new cookery without the addiction. Just saying
