I found it very uncomfortable reading that.
It's all quite unpleasant and rather shocking.
As someone who was born with a serious and very debilitating slightly ridiculous name, which I changed myself aged 11, I find it awful that someone would be called "October".
It's just not nice.

All change eh? Zero wind, sunny and warm. Long may it continue. unfortunately the weather for the weekend is not so good There is a half homebuilt barge on the quayside next to me, after the bollard snapped off the quay the day before yesterday I used a lifting eye welded to this boat as an emergency mooring point (the barge is big enough and heavy enough not to move) however ....... I have been making remarks about the poor standard of the welding on this boat for a few months ...... it appears I wasn't wrong ....... when I got back to the boat last night the rope was dangling in the water with the lifting eye attached !!! When I looked at it, I wasn't surprised the weld was only on the eye (made of plate) not on the deck ...... wrong rod angle and too low current !!! Just what I needed !!! didn't have my wellies in the car (which passed it's MOT by the way) so it was wet feet to get to the boat to fish a ladder off the deck. There is a ring set in the concrete (a mounting point from the old shipyard days) it is a bit too far aft and quite a long way away 40' ? from the stern but it ain't going to give way. Been looking at it this morning and working out the best thing to do, the water is high at the moment as it is only an hour or so after high water, hopefully by about 3pm the water should be down a bit and make it easier to do something. (Ain't sure exactly what at the moment but it needs to be improved)

I now have two green arrows, and 73 red arrows. I'm hoping to hit the ton by mid-afternoon. Easily spotted. Curious result for such an innocuous comment. Well, benefit scroungers are right up there with child molesters in the mind of the average Daily Mail reader, and suggesting that one should go unpunished on account of her looks is obviously going to get every dumpy, boot-faced old hag who reads the Wail gnashing their teeth in rage.

Yes thank you Rog, I found a couple more strong points left over from shipyard days, I moored the barge behind me to one which took the strain of that off my ropes and I also ran one from the"Ure" (the dredger) direct from it's stern to another strong point which will help keep my stern in as well. Looks a bit like a spiders web now Been discussing the new mooring posts with my friend with the drydock and with the chap who owns the quay. My friend will supply some heavy wall pipe and some off cuts of 12mm plate to make them and the chap with the quay (who is also a coded welder) will weld them up and we'll make a proper job of them ....... another job for when the bloody water goes down .... which it must surely do soon.
