I knew a geyser on a boat years ago that had a ratting gun (410?) but he was raised by the armed police as I believe he threatened a "subhuman" aka scrote with it.
I believe you can get a shotgun license on a boat but you presumably need to be able to show a need for it.
Home made bow and arrows might be a nice way to whittle away the time spent social distancing.
Now where is that yew tree ?
That's why they have yew trees in churchyards.

Couldn't find Book of Eli on the movie channel so that one needs must wait.... I watched 'Falling Down' today, if you can find that one... starring Micheal Douglas, about how we can snap in trying circumstances, sounds gloomy but it has some comedy moments as he unravels in the heat. www.imdb.com/title/tt0106856/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Not sure what they are supposed to do for the rest of the week. Reckon I'll have to teach them stalking or summet Phil Will they eat dried? Skinner do some cracking food. A few options including online www.skinnerspetfoods.co.uk/stockists/

Superb film, the restaurant scene is something most could relate to! You call McDonalds a 'restaurant' ? Here you are anyways. I actually like Michael Douglas, I think he has worked hard for his money, and has had a bit of a shit life that he hasn't deserved. Generally a movie with him in it is one worth watching: You call it what you like - I don't eat in that sort of place!

You call it what you like - I don't eat in that sort of place! You are not alone. I don't think anyone is eating IN any more but interesting that what the PM called "takeout" is still allowed. Presumably this is the American term for takeaway food. It's funny how the men (and women) in charge are gradually beginning to show their colours. Very healthy.

Anyway thanks for the heads up Gazza Phil

If I was still in the "wilds" of Northamptonshire I might well be tempted to get a decent crossbow. Silent, no licence required, will easily kill a rabbit or a muntjak if you are a decent shot. What's not to like

What's not to like It's actually quite awkward to get hold of a crossbow. If it came to the apocalypse situation I reckon garages and sheds will be an easier solution and a strobe light.

Anyway thanks for the heads up Gazza Phil We use Dodson and Horrell - direct from their shop which @loddon will know only too well! Usually presoak it with water, or on a Sunday roast day left over gravy or stock. When bonehead was younger he would have it dry to keep his teeth on good nick, he has it wet now to male sure he gets hydrated as well as fed, nowadays it’s not unusual for the soft headed idiot to forget to drink all day then smash a bowlful of water in one go! Luckily the dickheads who clear the shelves of the supermarkets are mostly unaware of the vastly superior and cheaper food available out in the sticks; hopefully long may that continue!
