Should the same apply to roads full of van dwellers?
Close the public access because of proximity to residents?
Ridiculous. Just as more people are having extra time on their hands and discovering things they didn't know about locally. Surely towpath use should be encouraged.
If the basic logic is taking the 2m thing literally then let's close all pavements as well. Oh dear.

Emailed to boat owners, yeh, I got it. Shame the public are completely unaware. CRT playing both sides, with no plan, no leadership and no clue.

Should the same apply to roads full of van dwellers? "Dozens of people in Bristol say they are being forced to live in vans because of the city's crippling housing crisis."

That was on their twitter page so the public can see it. I don't get cart emails as I am no longer on cart waters. I did see it on their Twitter feed, I also saw the interaction which didn't even hit 200. The fact they have not gone to mainstream media with a statement speaks volumes on where the trust are. Almost a million quid spent on advertising a bot, only to be ridiculed by their own incompetence over the toddbrook fiasco. Now we have a situation where we are in dire straits, and CRT are hiding behind a keyboard.

I hadn't heard of CRT before I started looking for a boat. I even went sailing twice a week for 20 years and lived a stone's throw from the river in Ely for a while. I had no need of CRT so for me they simply didn't exist. Unless you've been chugged in London or at a pretty lock why would you? Apart from the dambusters episode. If that's your single awareness of CRT you'd be unlikely to seek or heed their advice.

CRT have only been around 8 years.
One of the aims is to get more people around the waterways in the hope that it becomes a better respected and treasured national asset.
Something tells me a bunch of people with entitlement issues living on boats on the towpath will at some time get swept away like an irritating wasp.

The problem around here is there are numerous people who are using the towpaths, which I have no problem with to be honest. But there are a certain percentage of them that seem to have a problem with livaboard boaters going about there business. Anyway this whole thing, has given all the busybodys something to do.

Given the fact continuous Cruiser numbers have doubled in those 8 years, I think your naive comments and thoughts are very much a good example of your total value on such matters, zilch.

Time will tell won't it. I know my opinion is worthless by the way - that is a self-recognition skill I can heartily recommend you consider learning.

I'm not promoting anything.
Its called a discussion and it is a prediction.
Discussion:
discussion /dɪˈskʌʃ(ə)n/ Learn to pronounce noun the action or process of talking about something in order to reach a decision or to exchange ideas. "the committee acts as a forum for discussion" a conversation or debate about a specific topic. plural noun: discussions "discussions about environmental improvement"
---
It is healthy for people to hold differing views and have varied opinions in a discussion.
A discussion can not happen in a room with only one person left in it.

Unfortunately 99.9% of all forum users prefer debating from a fixed position because they know they are right.
