Should the DWP bring in a scheme where people claiming JSA etc should be forced to 'earn' their benefits?
There's nothing pisses me off more than hearing these people saying things along the lines of 'oh tomorrow's payday' or 'I'll just go the cash machine to get my wages' on benefits day
Schemes could be run with a senior foreman with a crew of 'workers' doing good, much needed work in their communities and in return they get their allowance paid. A register system could be used, as in full time employment, with a days wage deducted for every day of 'no show' plus 4 weeks holiday given per annum....just like real work!
In return, people with no qualifications, skills or experience would gain an excellent addition to their CV, it would teach them valuable work ethics plus puts 'something back' into society that's sadly missing nowadays.
Just looking at our current decrepit canal system , there's plenty of work these people could do to help out, towpath maintenance, assisting with dredging, general upkeep of facilities etc to help society in general, who, in turn, are helping the claimers by funding their lifestyle (often choice!!)
So what do you think...is it a go-er??

Says the man who hypocritically makes snide remarks about a slight title spelling mistake after winging about others doing exactly that about his posts!
You could always make another of your pathetic '**** is a fuckwit' threads complaining about it !
If you don't like it Get to fuck and read other threads !

Well seeing as they are expected to live off £70 odd a week I personally feel sorry for them. A single mother on the other hand can reap in 400 quid a week. The only work she has to do is fuck a few blokes. "It's not the children's fault so why should they suffer innit"

(Post checked as good as humanly possible for spelling / grammatical mistakes in order to appease our resident pedantic, pongy, apparent dyslexia suffering fuckwit!) It is one of those things that in theory seems a good idea but has a few problems: 1/ It would cost far more to run than just giving them the dosh - supervisors, beaurocracy, creating the work, sorting the work out after the unskilled have cocked it up etc etc 2/ in some deprived areas there wouldn't be enough "good public works" to go around the jobless hordes. 3/ the squeamish would cry "Workhouse" and "Slavery". 4/ in the case if the females you'd have to take steps to look after their enormous broods of brats (each one a different shade of brown with a different and unknown father), so more money on crèches. 5/ as soon as one of them broke a finger nail at work they would sue the government for millions and retire to the Costas on the proceeds. So all in all, probably not a goer.

Then that would be called "having a job" and should pay a living wage.

Then that would be called "having a job" and should pay a living wage. Yeah but, the idle fuckers that don't want to work should make some effort to get their gyro. Community pay back works with the crims, for the long term idle you could call it 'community input instead of smoking fags and watching day time tv' not as snappy but it would fit the bill. Litter picking by the dual carriageway, cleaning dog shit up from the footpaths, jobs that need no skill to undertake but have a worthwhile impact for the larger community who do contribute would be a good start Once they get fed up of picking up litter and shit it might convince them to do something constructive with their lives and get a job that pays a living wage.

I think"people not wanting to work" is largely a Daily Mail myth, the fact is that there isn't sufficient work to have full employment now than manufacturing has all moved to the far East. If litter needs picking up, then that should be a job which pays at least the NMW.
