Plenty of shutting in on weirs on the Thames recently. A few red boards have been taken off now. If it's a dry week then I think it will all be on yellow fairly soon.
With the current situation it would be really nice to not have any more rain for a while.
Floods would be quite a problematic thing at this point.

Really no change above Newbury. Taken a moment ago.

There is still water about which is why I would be concerned about more rain.
The world is going to end in 42 days from now according to the data output from my virtual MI6 meeting earlier.
So even if it does rain a lot it won't matter as there will only be an estimated 876,793 people left in englandland by end of next month.
Which coincidentally is my birthday.

Having seen the River Kennet 'in force' at Hungerford at Christmas, I have to say I cannot understand just how much water there is rushing around. If more rain is on the way, then it's just going to go and go and go and go. Will we even be able to emerge from our marina in June?

. Will we even be able to emerge from our marina in June? No. Because you will be dead and not buried due to no-one to dig the hole.

Quite possibly, water tables are full, surrounding fields saturated. It's mostly been cold since it stopped raining constantly. If we get another period of prolonged rain we will be back to square one. Remember, we have been on flood for a few days short of 5 months.

Remember, we have been on flood for a few days short of 5 months. as some of us are well aware Yesterday's job was starting to weld up the first frame for my permanent walkway .... only problem being that I will soon run out of rods ...... a friend (welder) has promised to drop off a sleeve for me on wednesday ..... I probably have enough to tack up so it shouldn't slow me down too much
