"With any luck, once this Coronavirus tomfoolery is finally over and the country is bankrupt, the NHS can go back to being a ‘Health Service’ rather than a ‘Lifestyle Choice Service’ as it’s morphed into over recent decades.
Taxpayer funded NHS should be there to treat proper ill people ONLY..
Charge ALL non-UK nationals, stop pissing away valuable resources subsidising expensive lifestyle choices like IVF, removing twats’ tattoos, enlarging otherwise perfectly good tits for deluded, aspiring page 3 snowflake bimbos /trannies, etc, etc, etc.
In short: Excepting emergencies, foreigners without health insurance to pay cash up front or fuck off.
No more free tattoo removals.
No more free comedy breast enlargements
No more free gender reassignment surgery
Substitute scam Homeopathic crap for placebos, cos that’s all Homeopathy is anyway.
No more free cosmetic surgery except for people who have accidents, get disfigured fighting for their country, or fall foul of disease.
No more free liposuction or gastric bands
No more free IVF
No more free translators – learn the fucking language you twats!
No more free counselling for twats who think they might have known someone who died in Grenfell.
Sack 90% of hospital managers.
PPI contracts to be renegotiated or cancelled. No more charging the NHS £75 for changing a lightbulb, £850 for a new window blind, £350 for a mattress, etc. And make twats return crutches instead of buying new ones at £250 a pop.
No more ripping off the NHS for drugs, charging £5 for a pack of paracetamol you can get in Boots for 75p.
We pay on average £5,000+ per annum whether we use the service or not. I fully back the ethos behind NHS (free and equal treatment for all UK citizens) but as things stand we’re not getting value for money."

Why has there been no cry to "shout out for the shop staff" too? They're right in the front line too - working harder than ever, suffering more abuse than normal and keeping us all fed. They need our thanks and support right now. "Any chance of clap around for the dustmen? Nah.. Fuck them. Not worthy."

If the police stop me the conversation might go something like this: "Sir, why are you travelling 5 miles to Aldi to buy your food when there's a Co-op less than a mile away?" " -what are you doing about the drug dealer in my rented house, he's got a gun you know?" "I can take you there right now - here, follow me!"

If the police stop me the conversation might go something like this: Sir, why are you travelling 5 miles to Aldi to buy your food when there's a Co-op less than a mile away? Because I can't afford to buy food from Co-op. I now have no income due to the government encouraging people, who have given lots of money by the state, to not pay their rents. I myself cannot get any money at all off the government. So unless you suggest that I start to engage in criminal behaviour in order that I can afford Co-op's prices I shall continue to shop at Aldi, in the hope that the virus abates before my money runs out. Goodbye, have a nice day. There's an old phrase 'beware of those who have nothing to lose'. I really hope everyone (including the PTB) see that common sense and truth must prevail now before it's too late. Despite the suffering and deaths, I see a lot of good coming out of this situation. Let's hope we can ALL make the best out of that.

A clap, perhaps, but how about a pay rise?

I dunno... bout much really. Discussion with my contacts on the front line... I learn that places like Brum and Manchester about 2 weeks behind London and the rest of the country about a month.. Brum apparently having to make tough decisions already....hopefully these ventilators will soon be in use. The next month I think will be grim and we should appreciate the efforts by everyone who is putting their health at risk keeping this country going. I'll keep my head down, have my daily walk at silly o'clock, get whatever i need whilst no one around and then stay in..yes it is lonely..I thought I'd not be too affected but the fact that the odd person u meet scurries by with head down just emphasis what a isolated world we r now living in. This forum my main source of conversation.

A clap, perhaps, but how about a pay rise? What if we just took money away altogether and just did what we are good at out of love? Oops...sorry, wrong glasses...

I was trying to capture peoples imagination as to how this world would be if NOBODY had money (I.e no monetary system). Let's face it, thousands of people dedicate their lives to caring for family and friends and don't get paid for it. Every day people help others without asking for money in return. Unfortunately whilst there is still greed and hate in the world, we are stuck with the monetary system.

Rog i didn't bother to read it through..i never know if its his words or just cut n paste Perhaps you should, a lot of people swing towards this point of view and wouldn't cross much of that out, if any. One can put one's fingers in one's ears and say la-la-la like an awful lot of people did believing it was a done deal that the electorate would do as they were advised and vote to stay in the EU if scared them enough...My gut feeling is much the same people, possibly even more...who knows...would agree with the sentiments in Foxys post. That's a majority in a vote. If a politician with charisma, think Tony Blair, Nigel Farge (whatever you think of them) makes it THE issue... Something has to give, the NHS will be in the spotlight doing a solo for the next month(s), billions being spent on a railway line, austerity, everyone seems to have a new car... there's no money...there's a bottomless pit of money...

I know we dual on here a bit, good naturedly I like to think, but in essence I agree with a great many of your posts. I just bat for realism. Money is a hindrance for most people if you turn it on it's head for a minute. When money came in to being, so did limitless wealth, there are only so many camels anyone would be able to cope with and they'd have to swap 'em for other things anyway.

Well one good thing to come out of all of this is how much we should appreciate the basics. A roof over our head, access to clean water, access to food. Feeling grateful for what heath we have left (some people must be suffering more than us). Feeling secure with those around us. That comes through love and trust built up over time. As for camels, I prefer walking...
