Get rid of some then. This will give you two advantages. 1. You will save money. 2. You will save breath on bragging. Problem solved. Well i had a garage so i collected vehicles just toys and i sell them when the market is right but my point is still valid we have to pay to park on some public roads so why not a few places in london Like nick i have walked the regents and other canals paddington basin always seems to chocker so if the survey is correct plenty of people are willing to pay for booked mooring so if thats what they want give it to them I don't believe you have spent any amount of time in London on the canals. I think your just bullshitting. Paddington is always busy because (a), it's a small space, and (b), it's very convenient. However, upon saying that, I have never had a problem finding a mooring with a 60x10ft. I also have a flat in the area which sees me visiting regularly, and although it is indeed a busy place, just charging for the advantage of mooring will not solve any issues unless it's completely new mooring sites.

Well as usual you would be wrong i am a member of a london club so pop down to london frequently as it has accommodation i was last down in a boat in 2008 and it was busy then and since then the numbers have skyrocketed so i am sure its very busy now as many of us have seen with our own eyes

All your interested in doing, is trying to be at the top of the willy waving list. Still, if that makes you happy, fair enough, but if your going to bullshit, at least try to make it a bit credible.

Perhaps somebody could make a documentary about the real state of the London canals scene? Or a series of photos with explanations - which could gradually be built up into a file for anyone thinking of going through London to zoom into the latest pics & News? A good start is to have a look at boater's blogs (nb No Problem, etc.) for their London experiences - you can easily start to draw your own maps and get to know the London Canals like this. Also you can zoom in on Google Maps satellite view which will surely show where boats are in packs, although the satellite images may be dated.

I'd rather drink bleach than read a pensioners boating blog.

I am heading for London now, it's not even remotely busy yet. Where are all the Boats?

I'd rather drink bleach than read a pensioners boating blog. I agree, especially as it's the poison dwarfs blog he mentions.

made me smile on the other channel yesterday on a thread where someone was complaining that they had to cruise around for 8 hours before they could find a mooring spot on the Lee........8 hours!.....I wonder at what time of the day this 8 hours began? Did they cruise well into the night?.......lying bast*ards
