I'm no good at copying multi posts to reply to ...but thanks everyone whose responded... My family always think I'm too open with what I say..possibly due to the many counsellors who 'helped' recovery. We all have to deal with this in our own way but its good to know that there are folk on here that understand some of the concerns. xx Patty And some people find that path without counselling too Patty. "A problem shared" must be the best trick in book? Listening isn't the same as sympathy though.

Well it seems to have worked for Alex Salmond

Ali, me and my family have so far survived any real troubles. Lots of little hiccups, but nothing that can’t be mended when things improve. I don’t think it helps that the news people like to publish the worst of what’s happening, lots of which is inaccurate. BBC seems particularly bad for this. I remain positive and confident that things will improve faster than many believe.

I'm quite sad about the whole situation that because Ive had so much time to waste on here Ive been tempted to blab my approximate age... I can no longer pretend to be the charmingly erudite, young slim and sultry brunette that I can see on the inside of my eyes. I am now an "older woman" that hurts, it really does! (this might seem trivial in the grand corona scheme of things!) I thought you were a bloke...

I'm fretting about...
- Will I be arrested on the way to the shops for non essential supplies - Are Pak Choi and Spring Onions plus noodles essential... - Should I just buy cabbage instead (duck and cabbage soup doesn't sound that appetising)
Quiet glad that is all I'm fretting about.

I was wondering if beer was essential supplies.
I assume it is as off licenses were specifically allowed to remain open. Presumably this is so one can buy beer without having to get involved in the madness of the supermarkets.
And protecting the alcohol industry obviously.

Trapping people in their homes and removing their alcohol would lead to a lot of death as people drunk the medicinal alcohol purchased for virus killing or Polish vodka made hurriedly in the fens....

Are you talking Bison Grass? It's only 37.5%, how's that going to kill anyo I doubt it, IIRC it has to be 80%. And...can you drink it or is it "the wrong sort of alcohol" and instant brain damage. Either way if alcohol were banned some people would drink pretty much anything if they thought they'd get pissed. More meths vicar? Or perhaps a nip of perfume.
