My sis in law lives in South Ruislip and one of her local councillors had been round with a camera and snapped recycling bins overflowing with uneaten, unopened food which was now out of date. This was not just an odd loaf or two but wheelie bins full of food tsk tsk shame on them Phil

It's bloody mad isn't it as loads of stuff can be frozen ! We buy yellow stickies at various reduction stages which have always been our freezer fillers !!!

It just goes to show the stupidity of the average punter that so many people bought four months' supply of product which would be inedible within a week.
No wonder people fall for all this nonsense.

None visible on street view.
I wonder if the wheeliebins referred to may have been from a block of flats or possibly commercial bins.

My local authority has basically closed down. Staff are on full pay no doubt, courtesy of council tax payers. Naturally, when the next bill comes out it will have increased, despite no services for possibly several months.

Dog poo bins full to overflowing here as is rubbish bins in car parks..the latter pre date shut down... I have seen council open back trucks that used to empty them but dunno what they r doing. The seagulls are spreading the rubbish...its all gonna look pretty disgusting before long
No food waste out of date in my compostable bin instead its now full of orange peel, apple cores etc cos Ive bin out and brought healthy food and made fruit salad ,,I'm so impressed with me... To-night cooking......(no not fruit salad)

The bins was the first thing that I thought of if things did start shutting down.
It's going to get very bad very fast if they stop bin collections.
That's a real nightmare situation.
