patty do you have a location for the steam tug? having trawled through the travel journal i can report it was at Montevideo, Uruguay.....

Maybe not a UK vessel then but it does look very similar to UK built steam tugs.
I suppose it could have been one which was shipped over.

There does seem to be like a narrow walkway(very narrow) so it may be accessible with a bit of a scramble..lots n lots of birds roosted along there..I so wanted to explore

I loved the place I would love to go back..its one of the places well worth a re visit. Thats the problem with cruises, so little time in places that cry out for longer stay...

I live about 500 miles from Montevideo. I might go and have a look when the border reopens.

I'm impressed how much effort someone has gone to in order to preserve the boat. Looks to be well supported.
A wreck anyway but always nice to see wrecks above the waterline.
Never mind if it ever floats it's lovely to look at.
