I’ve been asked to deliver a boat from Tardebigge to Leighton Buzzard, this is a paid job. I’ve phoned Crt and they said ok if it’s essential or work. Not sure if plod will buy it if I get pulled over as I will have to drive there, do job and drive back. Thoughts?

You are providing emergency housing to allow someone to self isolate. Aren't you....

as I will have to drive there, do job and drive back. Thoughts? How big is the boat? Is the vehicle large enough and what sort of trailer ?

I knew that. As far as I am aware there are no specific requirements regarding travel on UK roads at the moment. Interesting point though. In France they are requesting people fill out a form to go anywhere but nothing like that here. If you got stopped and told them what you were doing I can't see the problem. Worth keeping the email from CRT confirming the OK on your phone I would have thought. That's assuming you have written permission from CRT if not then moving the boat might cause problems.

Essential travel only. Work from home if poss.
Would like to see someone argue that you could move a real boat from the comfort of home.

The government guidelines are clear, if it's for work, and cannot be done from home it's ok. Plod are over reacting with some of this crap, especially where easter eggs are concerned.

Is the boat actually needed as a home for people to self isolate within? Also is the journey possible, given that I believe CRT have closed off some locks?

It's work and you have the information about the job and the communication from CRT to back that up. Can't see a problem
