People who own boats are different to people who own motorhomes.

CRT did call me to cancel the 4 booked passages until the end of June and accepted that if a journey WAS necessary they would TRY and allow them with prior booking... since then though, I hear all the seasonals have been stood down until further notice so presumably any locked flight will need an appointment to open it.
Everyone up until July has cancelled for me anyway so I'm going to stay put like Boris wants until the last week in June and then make a dash to get to where I need to be in Early July hoping folk can begin coming again...

Well, I shall let others take the stage for a while... someone has to do some cooking... stuffed peppers this evening: minced lamb (Finnish, local), basmati rice, kidney beans, cayenne pepper into mix - mozzarella cheese on top of red, green & yellow pepper halves in the oven. A French pinot gris to accompany.

But plan for worse, you could loose the whole year? I'd plan for that so anything else is a bonus. I can't see everyone suddenly clicking back into normal mode or indeed any point in the foreseeable future that this virus thing could be considered "over".

And the danger of transmitting the virus by moving a boat is....

Oh, I was not complaining. As far as going to essential services, he will have a long way to go, Aqueduct is the next, he has just left King's lock, didn't see him go down in the last few days so I doubt he has winded. What he displays in his windows is his affair. This week we have had hire boats going past. Diamond Resorts and Chas Harderns. Nice to see a few besides Halsall.

It's the accident potential.
Narrow boating is actually remarkably high on the list of accident causing pleasure activities. They don't want anyone having accidents as the key here is to not show up the way the NHS has been fucked really badly by the brain-dead middle England tory bastards.
In the accident ratings it is very nearly as bad as 'having a little walk".
Make of that what you will but you can't misunderestimate the situation.

Oh, lose 3 points for swearing and decrying our government loses you 2 more, sorry.

Well at least I didn't get into negative territory. Neutral or positive is good.
Ta.
I feel your approach to the swearing is slightly heavy handed. Twat.

And now into the oven. Only 3 halves/person this evening, but there's enough 'mix' for another 2 occasions.

It was the first meal I offered Pirkko when she came to visit us in Helsinki 15 years ago. Don't forget, grated mozzarella cheese goes on top later, for the last 10 minutes of being in the oven. And there is cayenne pepper in them to add 'extra spice'!

Many of the women I know aren't over keen on a maggot.

Getting back on topic...
I recon about 10 boats a day for the last week have been heading out of London going North on the GU. (this does take into account a rough estimate of tooing and froing for necessities.)
